Overview
Our licensing policy is based on the number of client connections to the NetworkShield Firewall server. A NetworkShield Firewall Access License (AL) is required for connecting each device with an IP in your network.
How many ALs do I need for my network?
Normal operation of all computers in your network requires that you purchase the number of ALs equal to the number devices with IP addresses in your network that need access to the server.
We recommend purchasing the number of licenses exceeding the number of devices by 10%. Additional ALs will be required if you need to grant access to the unaccounted clients of your network (for instance, mobile clients) and will save you the trouble of purchasing additional licenses when your business expands.
Updates Subscription
In order to gain access to all NetworkShield Firewall updates, you will need to subscribe to them. Updates Subscription gives you the right to install and use all new versions of NetworkShield Firewall during the subscription period.
Subscription can be interrupted, i.e. you will not need to pay for the unused time after a pause. You can extend your subscription at any moment.
There are three subscription types available: 1 year, 2 years and lifetime subscription. You can purchase subscription for any period. The Base version of NetworkShield is supplied with a 6-month subscription for updates.
How do I obtain additional licenses?
If your business is expanding and you need additional access licenses (ALs) you can order them using a special form on the purchase page.
Once you have made the payment, a confirmation letter will be sent to your email address. You will need to reactivate NetworkShield Firewall using your activation key.
